Description

Pen Plating is a precision electroplating process intended for plating small areas or intricate components. The plating probe is fitted with a special plating “nose”, which absorbs the plating solution and transfers it directly onto the surface of the workpiece.

As the probe is moved across the item, the metal is deposited only where required, allowing for accurate and controlled plating. Like brush plating, this technique is ideal for detailed work, repairs, touch-ups, and selective plating, but the plating “nose” provides greater precision and control than a standard swab.
