ABOUT PLATINUM PEN PLATING SOLUTION

This Platinum Pen Plating Solution contains 25 grams of platinum per litre and has been designed specifically for pen plating. It plates a hard-wearing, bright layer of platinum. Ideal for both decorative and functional purposes. It is a brilliant substitute for rhodium but at a fraction of the cost. The platinum is being used frequently for plating white gold jewellery, and can be plated directly over gold or white gold surfaces and gives great results. The platinum is very hard-wearing, can be brush plated and tank plated. It is mostly used by jewellers, because it gives a luxurious finish that will enhance the luminosity of precious stones such as diamonds.

HOW PLATINUM PEN PLATING SOLUTION WORKS

The Pen plating method works on a smaller scale. The plating probe is primed with a plating nib and this is used to ‘paint’ over the item. It is similar to brush plating. Pen plating is popularly used for intricate and finely detailed items as the plating nib offers more control than using a swab.
